Hello everyone, my name is Kyle Estep. I have been a Tony Rice fan ever since I could say "Muleskinner Blues" (which for me was "moo-goo-goose" when I was only 3 or 4, or so I've been told). There is no doubt in my mind, that Tony is the greatest and the most influential bluegrass guitarists there ever has, or ever will be. He was also by far one of the greatest lead vocalists of all time. From as far back as the early 70s to about 1985-1986, no one could touch his vocals. And as for his guitar rythym and lead, still, no one can touch him. He smoked the competition (literally!!), so to speak, when it came to rhythym and lead, and can still do it today. Tony Rice, has changed the face of Bluegrass Guitar as we know it today.
Hey everyone, if anyone wants to hear a recording of my guitar playing, me and a buddy of mine, Andrew, recorded the tune "Ernest T. Grass", and I have it available for download if anyone is interested!!! Click HERE to download it!!!!!!!!!! I also have a recording of myself playing 9lb hammer, which can be downloaded HERE. (you will need Winzip to open the file)
